Obituary for Franklin Eugene Peacock

Franklin Eugene Peacock , 84, of Newaygo, passed away on January 22, 2020 in Fremont, Michigan. He was born on May 21, 1935 to Richard and Lois (Storms) Peacock in Fremont, Michigan. He was a Navy vet having served from September 3, 1953 and was honorably discharged as a ML2 on September 3, 1957. Franklin is survived by his wife Virginia, three daughters: Christine (Christopher) Oakley of Grand Rapids, Cheri (Cindy Arno) Garnett of Delaware, Debra Jean (James VanSlyke) Marr of Newaygo, MI; three sons: Darrell (Tanya) Peacock of Hesperia, Craig (Jeanette) Peacock of Stevensville, John (Karen) Peacock of Toledo, OH; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; four sisters: Evelyn Kuhn, Violet (George) Robart, Esther (Leonard) VanZant, Shirley (Junior) Strutzel; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Judy Peacock. A memorial luncheon will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020, 11:00 am at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4249, Newaygo, Michigan. Memorials are suggested to the Newaygo County Animal Shelter.
